Cookie Policy

Last updated: 26 September 2026

This policy explains the cookies used on the Xerter site. In short: we use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to make the site work, and nothing for advertising or analytics.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits or requests, such as being logged in or a language preference.

2. Cookies We Use

We use two strictly necessary cookies: an authentication cookie that keeps staff signed into the admin area, and a language-preference cookie that remembers the language you select. Both are functional only - neither is used to track you across sites or build an advertising profile. We use no analytics cookies and no advertising or social-media tracking pixels.

3. Third-Party Services

Our contact form, admin login, and embassy certificate-verification pages use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and automated abuse. Loading it lets Google set its own cookies and process limited technical data (such as your IP address) under Google's own privacy policy.

4. Managing Cookies

Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, we don't show a cookie consent banner. You can still block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; doing so may affect site functionality - for example, you'd need to reselect your language on each visit, or an admin session wouldn't stay signed in.

5. Changes to This Policy & Contact

We may update this policy if the cookies we use change; the "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at support@xerter.com.
